WHY I'm taking a social media break

But first, an update!

I just finished my second of four internships before graduating school, HORRAY! This past internship taught me a lot, mainly how important communication skills and education are to pain management and to the patients overall care. I dealt with many different types of patients, all of whom helped solidify the knowledge inside me that I am exactly where I need to be.

The internship also taught me about perspective. The day to day of a 9-5 (ish) job can become monotonous, and there were definitely days I began to forget the impact of my everyday work. When I realized this, I made a promise to myself that I would set a consistent reminder to myself to remember that the work I do each day has impact on my patient's lives, so every day has to be my best effort. With this reminder, I can give the best care that I am capable of!

Anyways..

Happy holidays everyone! I know I have not been the best about keeping up with bog posts, and that they have been few and far between. I have made a decision to put this project on hold for a while.

Why am I doing this?

Since I am finishing up Physical Therapy school, I am about to begin 2 final internships in the spring before graduation in May. These are full time jobs. In addition, I will be taking my license exam at the end of April. Taking the exam at this time requires me to dedicate my after work and weekend hours to reviewing everything I have learned in the last 2.5 years, and then some, so I can pass the exam and get my license this summer.

I am telling you all of this because although Find your Fitt is a project I am passionate about, I will not have the time (lets be honest, when have I ever had the time?) to put into it in the first few months of 2020. I want to ensure that I am efficient about my learning so that I can begin my career as a p\Physical Therapist being the best that I can be.

So I am saying bye for now, next time you hear from me..... I will be a REAL LIVE PHYSICAL THERAPIST :)
